Hi folks Myself and Donie h are preparing for a 300k sportive in June. As part of that prep we are doing a longish spin this Saturday. 150/160k. We’d be delighted with a bit of company if it’s suits anyone to form a group. Target pace will be 27kph ave depending on terrain. Route tbd but if the wind is easterly we’ll go east and if it’s Westerly we’ll go west. Will post a route Friday night. I’m posting this outside the regular colour spins as it’s more of a training spin than a club spin and don’t want to impose on the regular colour spins. Roll out will be at 8am. Post up if you’re up for it. Cheers Niall.

Right lads, Heres the route for tomorrow. The forecast is for light North/ North westerly winds and GLORIOUS SUNSHINE so I've opted to go East. See you in the morning. There are still a few tickets available if anyone else wants to come along Click here for route.

Agree Donie. Bikes were invented especially for days like today. Winter is forgotten already! Thanks to Donie, mike t and Trevor for a quality 165k Road surfaces down Waterford direction far superior to ours. Hardly heard “hole” called all day. Even a neurotic bus driver at the coffee stop that kept telling she hated cyclists couldn’t spoil the day.

Hi all. Weather looks ok for tomorrow. So meeting in the town square macroom by the castle at 8.50 to roll at 9. Should be plenty of parking around being a bank holiday.route is macroom-mushera-mullaginish-ballyvourney(coffee)-county bounds-croom-ballyvourney. At this stage anyone who wants to do mullaginish a second time can and the others will head straight back to macroom. If anyone wants a second coffee/water stop we can do that to. Mike

Great day on the bike. I agree with Niall Mullaganish is a Beast. It tested me both physically and mentally but I wasn't giving In to the beast. Thanks for all the encouragement everyone was tested today we all worked very hard with savage climbing all day. I hav no doubt it will stand to us all. Another box ticked ..... Thanks agsin Mike I will remember that climb forever!!!! D
