Pat I’ve got a brand new Giro helmet here. Never worn. It’s a medium so won’t fit my big head 😆. You’re welcome to it if it will fit you. 086 1520850.

A little bit of good news here folks. Our club has been awarded “best supporting club “ by the organisers of the Xmas cracker cycle. Well done to all who supported this. There’s a presentation happening in Marymount on tomorrow (thurs) at 7pm. The organisers have invited three people from the club to attend. If anyone would like to join me give me a buzz or text on 086 1520850 or just post here and we’ll hook up. Well done CCC. 👍

This evening myself, Claire and Tim made our way to Marymount Hospice to accept an award on behalf of the club from the organisers of Marymount Xmas Cracker cycle. There was plenty of coffee and cakes which befits any gathering of cyclists. The main event of the night was the cheque presentation of over €19k raised from the Xmas cracker cycle to Marymount. The award (the only one of the night) was presented to Carrigdhoun CC for the “most generous” club. While there may have been more in numbers from other clubs the donations at registration from CCC cyclists on the day exceeded all other groups. Congratulations to everyone that took part in this. Marymount is a great cause and you all should be proud of our collective achievement. Since CCC doesn’t have a trophy cabinet per se the award is at present sitting in my front room awaiting a suitable location. One suggestion so far is we rent a space in O’Regans Pharmacy window 😂. Well done to all involved and a nice bit of PR for the club too. Let’s do it all again next year.
