Myself, Claire and my other daughter Dara are getting together to do the T de M this August. We have set ourselves a target of raising β¬3000 for Down Syndrome Ireland Cork Branch. As part of this effort we are hosting a coffee morning at my house in 13 The Close, Owenabue Grove, Carrigaline (just up from the pharmacy). Saturday 20th July. For any club rides that day we would be delighted to welcome you all to my gaff for your coffee stop. There will be cake, lots of cake. And raffle prizes and stuff. Bring your non cycling better halves too. All welcome. 10am to 2pm. Would love to see you all there. Cheers Niall.

What can I say? The support from our club today for our coffee morning was just humbling! To see my back garden literally packed with ccc riders of all colours, Iβll never look at my garden in the same way again π. Riders I havenβt met all year and others I see every week. Everyone came out to support us and myself, Claire, Dara and Mary thank you all sincerely for your generous support. When CCC arrived Youghal CC were just ready to leave and Twas just as well cos the garden wasnβt big enough for all π. The banter, chat and noise levels were flying and Trevor hadnβt even arrived yet! CCC did well in the raffle also, sweeping up both top hampers (Jerry Murphy and Shay Fox) and some other prizes as well. The club reputation for their generosity proved itself yet again. The buckets filled up rapidly and the final tally for the day was an incredible β¬2500 raised for Down Syndrome Ireland, Cork Branch. Thanks again to everyone that cycled, drank coffee, ate cake, dug deep in their pockets and not forgetting a big thank you to those that called in the days before with cakes and breads and all sorts of goodies. Next step for us is the Tour itself so bring it on and hopefully weβll see some of you again on the hill on August 11th. Thank you and Chapeau to all.

I second everything said above, but just wanted to say Thank you to you all.... Club Spirit doesnt stop once we get off the saddle! π Two yrs ago i did my first white spin, first time in cleats & i fell off at the first junction in five mile (mortified π).... From that day on everyone shouted a bit earlier to clip out but also encouraged me to keep on going. Never did i think id be taking on the TDM.... Thank you all for your help, advice, encouragement & support (and not just yesturday)....
See you all on the hill on the 11th August.... π
