Hi All, Just a brief on the state of the roads around the most beautiful part of West Cork. Road surfaces are generally ok bar the few potholes here and there. The road surface in Casteltownbere itself is still not great even though there are plans in place to improve it. There were works east side the town but hopefully the surface has been put in to a normal state. There was road works on the decent into Glengarriff the council decided to put in a beautiful asphalt surface about 4 or 5km outside it so you will get a nice bit of smooth surface into the village itself. Saying that I hope everyone has a safe cycle and most of all enjoy the views and please be careful as there will be a lot of Spanish artic trucks going from Castletownbere to Cork. Hopefully the weather will behave  |
